Individuality: the special Materials & Nature areas at interzum 2017
12-01-2016
The selection of materials plays a crucial role in the search for increasingly individual solutions for furniture and interiors. To provide visitors with a comprehensive overview of the diverse new launches in materials and surfaces, interzum is expanding its special areas: for the first time next year, the Materials & Nature Piazza will be doubled with not one, but two shows. Under the heading “Individuality”, the two presentations will showcase groundbreaking industry trends from 16 to 19 May 2017.
The industry is constantly developing new materials, machining processes and surfaces. With all the diversity today, planners and fabricators have an incredibly extensive selection to choose from. Here the special formats of interzum provide a helpful overview. Visitors to the leading international fair for the furniture and interior construction industries’ supplying sections can obtain a comprehensive orientation at the two Materials & Nature Piazzas. Alongside exhibitor highlights in materials and surfaces, they will present current trends in these fields.
The two Materials & Nature Piazzas will be presented in Halls 6.1 and 10.2 at interzum 2017. Hall 10.2 will also host a wide-ranging programme of talks on developments in the sector – from design trends to technical issues. Catering services will be available to complement the exhibits and events.
For the fourth time, the renowned expert Katrin de Louw from the design consultancy TRENDFILTER® will be responsible for curating the special Materials & Nature areas at interzum. She is considered a leading consultant on trends in the furniture and materials industries for interior spaces. She herself will give a number of talks on current design trends. A detailed programme with the other speakers and talks will be announced in the run-up to interzum 2017.
